I am now suffering from extreme weight loss and muscle wasting much worse since March when I was hospiitazed for 2 weeks with surgery for a broken hip having fallen on the stairs. Its been a long road of recovery but now starti ng to walk short distances without the help of the walker.

Now doing extensive excercises on legs to strengthen need to work on arms and chest. Appetite is poor trying to get as much protein and calories as possible but very little change

Anyone else experiencing similar problems?

I don't know about that, but a special anniversary meal featuring filet mignon wrapped in bacon got my husband's appetite going again. Cookies also helped. He had lost ~50 lbs. Now I have to hide the cookies as he has reached ideal weight.

There are edible forms of marijuana so that your old lungs don't have to be subject to smoke.

I believe Canada has pretty good Medical Marijuana Dispensaries that will help you choose the right marijuana and dose. Actually I think your Dr. should be able to guide you to a dispensary if you ask.

It can often significantly improve appetite.

I’m sorry to hear that, friend. I can understand what you’re going through. My mom had a hip surgery last year and lost weight. She had a tough time with her appetite. She’s on a balanced diet now and doing well. I know it’s not easy, but I pray that things get better for you. Stay strong.
