Restarting xtandi

Headaches just about gone, Dr said start back with 2 pills. I’m thinking about 1 pill first to see if it has any effects on blood pressure then 2 pills maybe a week later. Will 1 pill do any good. Any thoughts will be appreciated.

I'm not a doctor but I plan to start with 1 pill for at least a week then ramp gradually. From what I've read on HU, 2 pills seems to be effective so maybe stick at that for a while and monitor readings.

I can’t speak to the headaches but I was on the 4x40mg and it kicked my a$$. We stopped it completely for 10 days and restarted at the 2x40 and I have had no issues. You’re trying to control the growth of the cancer so I would say go as strong as you can but still have quality of life.

I was starting my third bottle, 2 months with no problem, then the headaches and then my blood pressure when up.

I’ve been on Extandi since the first week of June. Towards the end of June I started experiencing fatigue, loss of appetite, dizziness and nausea. I lost 15 pounds and blacked out twice, both prompted the change. We made the adjustment to 2x40mg around July 15, I have had no problems since. Hope this helps.

No headaches and I already am on meds for high blood pressure so it’s hard to say.
