After 3rd Chemo(Cabazitaxel) reduced dose was suffering constipation for 2 days before then all went crazy! One day in bed after chemo finally had to give him a laxative.Up every two hours can’t get to bathroom by himself total mess. Then during this incontinence starts bed wet 3 times caught us both by surprise! Oh guys I feel so bad for him and all of you so upsetting! Then I get message on his labs PSA has gone from 1000 to 1584 no words. In a week Also having hard time with oxygen levels wouldn’t get higher than 85! Spoke to nurse told me to increase liter to 3 from 2 that has helped but to date 92 highest! Labs were done last Wednesday & asked for Oncologist to “have eyes” on him.I was/am scared. They did check Kidneys and urine. Results has URI but no symptoms .On Antibiotics. They redid labs PSA 2000 in a week. Has anyone experienced this? They are hoping to do Pluvicto but really will it help anything? Quality of life a mess! Can’t walk on own now 24/7 Oxygen and Pull ups 24/7 What happened? On 6th year of fight a fraction of the man he was! At a loss so fast too many things happening

Incontinence but why?
Is he at home? You guys must be exhausted. Plucito has risks too. What’s he thinking now.
My heart ❤️ goes out to you. This really sucks.
I’m thinking heartfelt good thoughts for you both ( transfer of merit ) … hope this levels off quickly ….he’s in good hands.

That was actually difficult for me to read. I had flashbacks to my dad with similar things you mentioned. It's equally horrific for everyone involved. It just strengthens my opinion about considering the QOL wrt treatments and finding an acceptable balance. Like you said, there are no words.Hope things turn around for you all.
I'm so sorry. That's a lot to go through for both of you.
I am sorry and sad to read this post, I am a wife watching my husband suffer mentally and physically every day...I hope your husband finds relief....I sometimes think, how did this all happen so quickly, such a sad change in our lives.
Yes agree! We have been blessed to have had the five great years(Diagnosised 12/16) while he could work !That was his passion! But since last fall after first Chemo he has lost ground! Xofigo did not help him either. Obviously Cabazitaxel at reduced dose is causing more side effects than help as reflected in his PSA! Enjoy everyday you have💙
My husband too, loves to work, our business of 50 years. We have decided no chemo. He is on Lupron and starting xtandi. Choosing xtandi over zytiga for now. Also natural supplements and good food.
