Hi folks:. I've been happily out of touch as SBRT treatment, to my previously identified hot-spot iliac nodes, at Mayo- MN was successful, and my PSA dropped to point zero something. Today I had a PSMA-PET scan at the U of MN hospital and received these results:
1. PSA avid metastatic lymph nodes within the posterior mediastinum, retroperitoneum, and along the left iliac chain.
2. Scattered foci of the osseous metastasis, as described above in detail.
3. Mild PSMA uptake in the left axillary and left subpectoral lymph nodes, favored to represent an inflammatory / infectious process.
My oncologist appointment isn't until August 8, so I have several days to stew. I'll have my labs then as I have no idea about my PSA.
It don't think the 3rd bullet is a big deal, but what do you think about the first two? Any reason for more than my usual baseline level of panic? This is my eleventh year with PC, so I've had many years of disappointing news. But then again, I'm still in the game!
I do think that "PSA avid" is actually ok news as my oncologist has suggested that Pluvicto could be in my future.
Thank you!
