Interesting. I can't count the times I've seen the phrase "a novel candidate therapeutic target" from studies going back years and years and years that end up in an apparent dead end. Not to be overly pessimistic but this also means no relief for side effects of hormone therapy. But of course if you have the choice between side effects and a more permanent block of PCa progression, that would be an easy decision.

Just as mRNA vaccines saved the world from COVID becoming more of a serious catastrophe, I believe personalized treatments on a genetic level hold the most potential future promise for improving PCa treatments. This talks about it:
