My profile has pertinent info. 63 yrs old. Just diagnosed in April with stage IV, mets in 6 spots on bones. Starting Docetaxel in 10 days. Any suggestions on minimizing side effects. Planning to use ice packs for hands and feet. Anything else? THC products for nausea? Thanks

I know. Started on abiraterone 1 week after Lupron injection. Abnormal heartbeat within 3 days & had to stop. Five days after last dose, heartbeat back to normal. That was last Wed. See oncologic-cardiologist tomorrow. Just got results of blood work my PCP took 9 days ago (while had abnormal heartbeat). Shows high alkiline phosphatase, maybe from bone mets(?) My serum IgA was very high (1834, normal range is 61-437). Not sure what this means.
Any chance you are positive for Covid19 or other infection? Possibly an anaphylactic reaction to the Lupron injection? The "5 days after last dose" may just be a coincidence of the anaphylactic reaction calming down. This happened to a friend of mine. He switched from Lupron to Orgovyx (and Zytiga) and does fine with that.
I feel OK. Neg fast covid test this past Fri. before visiting son & pregnant daughter in law.5 days after was last abiraterone.
This link has information about chemo for prostate cancer by a real expert in the treatment of PC:
I used a modified fast. I worked full-time, so I had to maintain my energy and couldn't do a full fast, but it seemed to help the energy and especially the taste recover more quickly. I ate ice chips during chemo as well as the hands and feet. I gave up on the scalp when I lost my hair after my second dose. And exercise. I was mountain biking with my brothers until after the third dose when my energy levels really dropped.
