Welcome to the forum. I understand you have ADT (Lupron or similar) + Zytiga. Good response, shows your cancer is hormone sensitive. I'm looking at Zytiga as the next step after the chemo I just finished. This forum has a lot of experienced and knowledgeable folks so get yourself comfortable and enjoy the ride so to say.
Where are you being treated at?
Great response to Zytiga! I hope you are able to stay on it for a long time.
Been on Zytiga going on 8 months now minimal side effects and PSA has been undetectable since first month treatment. Leo
Welcome, you’ve entered the twilight zone... Sorry for your May diagnosis, I was stage 4 almost 4yrs ago and I’m still here, taking adt until failure = with no visable signs at the moment. That said, we play with the hope of future cures that may come. Do what we have to,to be here for some days of sunshine.. or singing in the rain... My urologist told me that whatever I did that I’d was to check out six months ago.. cant listen to that bs.. he also said”. I never promised you rainbows and butterflies” as he did some narly procedure like planting gold markers in my prostate to target Radiation therapy.. He was right on that one, there is no candy coating APC . He saved me however thru many surgeries...Treatments assault our systems ,We suffer. But with some luck and clean living it is possible to get to a better place ,health wise then you are at now.. Then cherish and not waste any days not spent fully suffering ..hope that you do well with limited pain.. we are all aboard the same craft .. batton down the hatches and give it you best shot. Pierce through this storm and keep you eyes on the light on the other side of treatments. With time recovery will come.. Scott🌵
Thank you. The way i see it:
I saq a quote by vivian greene that said life is not about waiting for the storm to pass. Its about learning to dance in the rain. I figured thats a good way to keep going on.
Awesome saying..what’s that strapped to you? If you don’t mind me asking?
The thing on my left arm is a powered arm brace
In 1991 i had brain surgery in which a mistake was made. It left me paralyzed on the left side. They told me i would not walk again at age 32.
A lot of hard work and a good physical therapist got me back on my feet eventually. My left arm is. Still paralyzed and i found a company in boston called myomo last winter that makes the arm brace with an electric motor on it to try to regain some use of the arm
You’re a miracle. I thought it looked bionic. You are an inspirational man.
