I had little if any fatigue. 28 sessions IMRT

It is in proportion to number of treatments. I had none, probably also because I exercised heavily every day during treatment:

It depends on your exercising. The less exercise the more fatigue. It’s hard to convince yourself to get up and out when you are fatigued but it’s the best you can do.

Of everything I took, radiation was easiest to tolerate. It was nothing for me. Same with abiraterone. I wasn’t told abi had possible side effects, but I’m pretty sure I didn’t feel any.

Other than a bit of food tasting strange for a few days after each infusion, Docetaxel chemo wasn’t tough either.

I credit 2 things: 1, I am a athlete. It truly is the best antidote for all the sides. 2. Lupron side effects, while tolerable, we’re much more noticeable to me.

The fatigue is all about the muscle loss. If one has radiation only and no ADT it’s much easier.

When I did SRT c 30 sessions I had no fatigue and exercised throughout. When I had 5 sessions of targeted CyberKnife for lymph nodes last Nov/Dec I was fatigued for about 3 weeks which surprised me. I still did 5k a run 5 days a week but it was hard work and I had to haul myself round on some of the runs. I was told by the radiologist that fatigue was normal and that if I was running 5k I was not that tired. Lol. Good luck with it.

I want to add my support for exercise. I exercise extensively and have no fatigue whatsoever on Lupron, Abiraterone snd Prednisone.

I had 8 weeks of radiation last summer. I had some diarrhea and frequent and urgent urination during the process all of which ended 4 weeks after completion. I didn’t have any lasting fatigue.

I had little to no fatigue during my 28 EBRT.

Hi Ed:I have been fighting the PC beast for 20 years. I had 36 shots of radiation and when it was finished, I was really whipped. It took me a month to regain my strength. Even though you probably don't feel like it get up and be ACTIVE - walking, light weights, - just active and you WILL recover quicker. Good Luck.

I had no noticeable fatigue issues from 25 Cyberknife radiation treatments because the Eligard ADT shots were already starting to kick my butt. The ensuing brachytherapy however did seem to cause additional fatigue and weakness, and both types of radiation affected my bladder and bowel functions significantly.
