Metastasized prostate cancer found in my lymph system after 8 years. Sneaky crap is NOT going to win!

Finished 45 radiation treatments, followed by hormone therapy for stage 4 prostate cancer, ending in February 2012. Was diagnosed with metastasized stage 4 in my lymph glands on November 29, 2021. Refusing chemo. Accepting Hormone shots and holding off on Xtandi for now. (Net monthly cost is well over $13,000.00 with my copay being $2,690.00.)

Now using a vegan diet, rebounder, pro-form 110R stationary bike, walking and some dumbbell/stretch band exercises along with music and prayer.

Starting Chris Wark's Square-1 protocol and considering adding concentrated oxygen for breathing while exercising.

Any suggestions my fellow posters? (Feel free to add me to your prayer list!)

Thanks all!

GoodRx interesting for 11 months in my area GoodRx was just under 300/month. Now 1800 a month go figure. GeniusRx came in at 235. Pays to look around.

I think under Medicare once you've spent $7,050 out-of-pocket on drugs in 2022, you're out of the coverage gap. Once you get out of the coverage gap (Medicare prescription drug coverage), you automatically get "catastrophic coverage, " which assures you only pay a small coinsurance percentage or copayment for covered drugs for the rest of the year. The $7050 is still a lot of money, though.

Thanks for the information CancerFox. I guess I'm also gun-shy about using Xtandi. Previous radiation/hormone therapy destroyed my sex life and control of my bowl movements so perhaps overly concerned about using various drugs.

Mine reappeared 5 years after surgery. Then did IMRT followed by Zytiga. Best of luck!
