Abstract

Hyperhidrosis is characterized by excessive sweating and it affects almost 5% of the population. The affected age group is wide, and it can affect from children to elderlies. There are two types of hyperhidrosis: generalized and focal. Treatment depends on the symptoms presented. In more severe cases, radiofrequency sympatholysis and bilateral thoracic sympathectomy are the options. However, recurrence is possible or the postoperative appearance of conditions called compensatory hyperhidrosis or reflex hyperhidrosis. We describe two cases of patients treated with Cannabidiol who had significant and unexpected improvement of hyperhidrosis. The first patient received Cannabidiol specific for public presentations at work, and the second patient had a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder. The hyperhidrosis improved in both patients immediately after using Cannabidiol.

Not exactly a broad study.I'm going to need a lot more than 2 base.

It certainly supports my experiences using cannabinoids like CBD and CBG. I'm on Orgovyx and have not had the kinds of issues other patients in this forum have reported with sweating. Others talked of using antidepressants and gabapentin. I have had no need to resort to taking those kinds of drugs myself.

The sweats are REALLY annoying, and frustrating.I started right off after first Lupron shot and it's remained a problem since.

I have a problem with sweaty hands. I take a CBD gummy at night to help me sleep. I think I'll experiment and see if it helps with my sweaty hands.

CBD did nothing for me - took it for 2+ years - so I simply quit it altogether - I was a licensed grower (up to 16 plants at a time) and sold ALL my equipment - THC did nothing for me either - Call me OUT of BUSINESS .....

As much as I stand by the many uses of cannabis in all its forms including with thc this was just a study. Also it involved hyperhidrosis which is excess sweating.

It was not directed at the hormonal component involved in hot flashes.

I hate to say it but even in the studies look into hyperhidrosis it wasnt conclusive and like so many studies it just seems so anecdotal and ends as all studies end with---more research needs to be done.

There have been times when I thought cannabis in my system actually brought on hot flashes but as time has gone on I realize the hot flashes come and go without any rhyme or reason.
