Hyperactive bladder and incontinence is a problem for many of us (me especially!). A respected Australian supplier (Paralogic) of catheters, pads etc is marketing a product called Urox. It contains: horsetail (equisetum extract); cravataeva nurvala extract (cravetox) and lindera aggregata. I know nothing of these and am asking if anyone can enlighten me. The first link is to Paralogic's page, the 2nd link is to a phase 2 randomised double blind placebo controlled trial. On the surface it looks tickety-boo and if correct would be an advance for one of the more annoying and lifestyle destroying side effects of many PCa treatments.
Paralogic have also marketed a product directed at prevention of urinary tract infections called Urofem. It consists of D-mannose, a sugar that attaches to bladder bacteria and flushes them. (Third link)
I know there are no magic bullets but any advance on oxybutenin and mirabegron would be a relief, literally.
So: any knowledge or experience with these herbals, good, bad or warning against for PCa patients would be of great interest. Any naturopaths out there who dealt with urinary incontinence? Nal?
