Dexamethazone and zytiga

Hi Wakaka! Much efficient no, complementary. My husband had a response with abiraterone + prednisone about 4 months before the PSA rose and switching to dexametasone prolonged the effectiveness of abiraterone for another 9 months

Get as much time with no PSA or imaging progression with Zytiga and Prednisone as you can. Dont change unless your cancer progresses.

When your cancer progresses Dexamethasone can be tried with Zytiga which sometimes extends the effects of Zytiga.

No such thing as Dex being more efficient vs. Prednisone.

When my Zytiga/Prednisone combo failed, I switched to Zytiga/Dexa. Had no improvement.

Yes Dex is much more powerful than Pred. Plus Dex put me back on my feet and I felt great after I had treatments. But they can only give itTo you for so long because it’s strong and hurts other organs. Your doctor can tell you about that. Also Dex helped reduce my pain significantly
