They claim to use Gerson Immunonutrition as the centerpiece of their therapy at CHIPSA. You can read about the Gerson Method here:

Please read the section on disinformation (p 19):

I went to few best (read most expensive) clinics in Germany, that probably better that the ones in Mexico or at-least on par with them. I also visited clinics in London and Arizona. What can I say ... they are money making machines. Dying or late stage patients are easy pray and I so some treated even when treatment was not helping them, but as long as they had money or till they die clinics do Not want to let them go.

Alternative only treatments have no place in advanced cancer treatment, that is my conclusion and my own experience.

The only reason to consider using some of them, if patient decides that he wants some specific treatment that is experimental and only available in clinical trials and that patient do not want to be randomized to unknown or do not completely accept clinical trial protocol and such clinics can offer it to accommodate patient. Another possibility, if patient let's say wants to have low dose chemo and not able to obtain it through the regular road. But such patient must be completely informed on what he wants to do and be ready to own his decisions whichever the results. If that indeed the case, then I would consider such clinic.

Gerson therapy has in my opinion a good idea of low fat and no salt plant based diet plus juicing. However they do cook vegetables to death and leave them almost without nutrition and vitamins, what in my opinion does not make sense for prostate cancer patients. Gerson coffee enemas for prostate cancer patients looks a bit ridiculous to me too.

If someone is so inclined to go on Gerson diet, it is easy and way much cheaper to hire full time cook, print to him/her Gerson diet recipes from the web and stay on these diet and juicing for a few months.

All kind of intravenous vitamin infusion, I'm not longer fun of them, and some of the ingredients in vitamin cocktails they want to administer (ex. popular in such clinics Myers cocktail) contains vitamins/ingredients that may actually promote prostate cancer.

Exactly. Why go to Gerson? You can do 90% at home. The other 10% is questionable. Most will never adopt the diet for any length of time.

Hey rogerandme,

As I have written in the past, I don't have much faith in any clinic, across our borders, in any country, a clinic that exists to promote their "special therapy or cures".

A couple weeks ago I met a young fellow who told me that his father had prostate cancer 20 years ago. The suspected cause was agent orange exposure in Viet-Nam. He said his father had Gerson therapy and his cancer no longer could be imaged after a time. I looked at him and said, "Coffee enemas right?"

My thoughts--Diet and lifestyle changes may have suppressed a Gleason 6. Twenty years ago Gleason 6's led to treatments that spawned books with titles like "The Prostate Bandits".

The Dr. Ruth Heidrich story is inspiring but what she did won't work for everyone--neither will chemo, radiation, surgery or combinations of them.

I'll be perc'ing a pot of organic dark soon to be ingested the "traditional" way.

An addendum--When thinking about a treatment or treatments in another country, ask why so many that have $$, living in other countries, come to the US for the doctors and hospitals. There are exceptions--but few--and legit hospitals are where these treatments will be found.

We haven’t gone to Mexico but instead to Germany and Canada…for a fraction of the $$. And huge success! Hyperthermia. The weeks there are also spent getting Hugh dose vitamin C, mistletoe, etc. These are all items that can be done at home as well in America under care of naturopathic doc.

So no need to leave country.

My husband has been doing coffee enemas for over 5 years, almost daily but at least 3-5x a week. Why? It makes him feel WAY better. He doesn’t understand why others don’t do them. He eats insanely healthy. We have accumulated tools over the year like a Full Spectrum Sauna, PEMF mat, hyperbaric oxygen chamber.

BUT it’s not one or the other. His cancer is highly aggressive BRCA2…it’s the “throw the book at it type!”

Thanks for your insight good to hear a first hand account… I know when I ask my doctors they look at me as if I were an idiot so I get no real advice from them. But I do believe that the body can heal itself given the right nutrients and environment I hope things continue to improve for your husband…
