Getting nervous with the rise in PSA. I know this treatment does not effect it but what does it mean? We are not close to any areas where the PSMA PET are available so it will be the same scan as before but what if it shows nothing new? Beginning to feel more going on and boom one day soon really bad news! Seems like a hit or miss treatment plan! Sorry just scared at moment! Husband so positive and just pushes on.

Are you currently on any ADT drugs with the Xofigo?

Just Lupron.Zytiga was stopped month before Xofigo treatment started. Exgeva for bones since diagnosed

Why was zitiga stopped? Would it interfere with the xofigo treatment? When I was on xofigo I don't think I was on any other drugs.

Not sure reason but they stopped it! Wasn’t working PSA at 300 then.

With a PSA of 300 it is no wonder Zytiga was stopped. It had lost it's effectiveness.

Yes we were trying to just inch down the road. My husband wants quality of life so I believe treatments offered from here put are going to be iffy. He has a very positive out look always has. It helps so much.

If he has not been on xtandi, that might be a good next step after xofigo.

Just had conversation with his Oncologist about his rising PSA. He said it is probably time for Chemotherapy. We have a month then last Xofigo. Any thoughts of which Chemo may be suggested?

I am not an oncologist but just like you trying to navigate my disease. My one advantage is I am a physician/surgeon (can also be a disadvantage). If he has not had taxanes (docetaxel) then they may play a role. As the link I sent you demonstrated Provenge may work in conjunction with Radium 223/xifigo. Also when you look at the Lutetium-177 literature if bone involvement does not include extensive marrow involvement it can be beneficial with bone metastasis. Wish I could offer more. I wish you well.
