For those here who have visited another MO for a second opinion has your insurance covered your visit? I have Medicare along with a supplement policy.

Yes, for me it was covered by my insurance (Blue Cross). Sorry that I can’t say about Medicare but I suspect it odes and I’m sure others here will post replies.

According to the Medicare website your part b coverage covers second and third opinions for medically necessary treatments. If in doubt just ask the doctor you plan to see.

Yes - it's never been an issue (another reason to avoid "advantage" plans..)

Yes You may have to ask for previous approval if you have a medicare advantage plan and the consultation is out of the network.
