Hey all,

Anyone cost out lupron depot 3 - 6 mos vs month to month 7.5 mg injections?

Lupron and it’s ilk are old school. Ask your urologist about estradiol transdermal patches. Their easier in your bones and heart , are less debilitating and much cheaper.

curious what you mean by 'old school' ? estradiol transdermal patches seems like something you'd use for hot flashes from adt. Not quite sure what you are suggesting here.

I switched from a 3 month injection of Lupron to a monthly injection after 3 3 month injections to try and manage the negative side effects that came immediately after the injection. I have found the monthly injection to be much more tolerable almost immediately. I have received 18 total months of Lupron. I only have original Medicare coverage. My monthly cost is $34.27.

I was also on the monthly Eligard shots. In Ontario Canada I remember seeing an invoice of $400CAD for a monthly shot. The 3 month shot was about the same price as 3 one month shots,
