He is missed. I also appreciated his posts very much.

I read his last reply to a post. Clearly it had a last post feel to it. He was able to make it to his appointment, in which his platelets were too low for treatment, and back but it appears something happened quickly. He said he didn’t feel well and he knew it was the end but he wasn’t in hospice or anything. He was sad he wouldn’t get to see his sister again.

That is so sad 😥 I'm so sorry he had to leave the earth too soon.

Quite interestingly this is what Patrick had written in his last update in March 2020 to his story appearing in YANA - Prostate Cancer Support Site :"I am mentally quite sane and have no partner, and had no kids, and I am emotionally needy, and I sleep OK, Life COULD be better, but it's getting too late to wish for that, and reality is that life COULD HAVE BEEN better, but it never was, and so darn what ? - but any better life would have been a pile more responsibilities.

Going to my local hospital for treatments is the nearest thing to be happily married, especially when a nurse asks "is there anything else you want "Mr.Turner ?"

It is hard to keep a dry eye sometimes.

We are all on a Queue, and in this we finally served with a full stop when we arrive at the distant counter. This is the only queue where all the people in front of us turn round to ask us if we would like to go ahead of them.

Love those around you who need it. "

He was a gifted writer and avid cyclist who showed remarkable courage with a wicked sense of humour - an inspiration for many of us ..... RIP Patrick

Yes he was multi talented . Too bad he couldn’t find “a sheila” to get along with. He wasn’t afraid to give his opinion.

I also enjoyed his posts as well. He left us so quickly! He was well read on pc and a great writer on the subject. I looked forward to his writings and his travels on his bike. He compared his biking skills to other bikers and dispite his illness he wrote of his superior endurence. I'm 77 and I bike on an E bike in the mountains here. He classified my bike as a motor bike which is frownd upon. RIP Patrick.

Another voice gone silent. Sad.
