Just wanted to know if anyone here has experienced something like what I am going through.
Over the past several months, my hair has been growing back on my head. However I now have lost almost all of my pubic hair to the point where I have only 5 or 6 hair on my pubic area (like when puberty first started). With regards to my head, I have more hair now than I did 10 years ago.
Wondering if this is somehow related to Lupron as I don't recall ever having read that it was a cure for baldness. At 53 I now have more hair than my 26 years old son which is puzzling.

I have not had chemo and it cannot be because of the radiation because the hair growth started much before. So it is either the Lupron, or diet/supplements or fasting or something else altogether that I can't pinpoint yet.
I think so too. I had assumed that since my husband is young for this level of cancer, his hair was more likely to come back than others that lost their hair decades ago. Who knows!
Yes my hair started refrowing when I was on prostap Hormone Therapy. Unfortunately once I finished the Prostap after 9 months it went. Such a shame as I have been balding since I was 30. It would have been nice to buy a new comb for all the hair!
I will never forget the day in the shower when I looked at the drain and there was all this hair ! Mine- chest - arm pits - legs - some pubic ! Head hair is now FABULOUS oh well
Hey i was thinkin same...ive got 30 to loose but cant get energy to " work out"....i still work 6-8 hrs day most of time...lipo seems like the ticket since i got a 275 x 17 tire round me now...been 4.5 yrs on adt...upto .1 now but its a slo death...
Same here full head of hair that grows rather quickly and my facial hair has also been very fast to grow. My body hair and is either very fine or all but gone. But hey I'm still alive. Never give up Never surrender. Leo
I have same experience, my bald spot is shrinking. my post surgery shaved pubis is stalled in recovering hair and so far as the rest of my body, to all intents and purposes, I am hairless. Unfortunately, I still have to shave my face.
On ADT for 3 years now, 79 next week.Body hair changed to very thin and sparse. BO much less. I had pretty full head and beard. Grey of course since my 40s.
I've been complaining about change but no one seems to care or worried by result.
I think just one of the testosterone loss results. So many changes that are difficult to judge whether age or cancer treatments.
On ADT for 8 months, 78yo full head hair no change- still white, since 45, bo gone Great !, thinning body hair some areas, my handle bar mustache lost the long hairs, had to trim off where it used to curl . Hot flashes, seem to be hungry all the time ? doing some weights, unusual for me ! Got to watch my weight- loose some.
My Dad has said his body hair has pretty much gone, what's left very sparse like on his legs. The hair on his head wasn't effected - he also said his nails are growing quicker on his hands and his toenails have gone quite thick . 🤔
Does estrogen really increase when on ADT? Makes sense that our ratio of estrogen to testosterone increases since we are cutting off the testosterone but why would the estrogen itself go up?
Pretty much the same thing with me. I've been on Lupron for 1 year now (started at age 57) and my wife says that a lot of hair has grown back into my bald spot (not fabulous like pjd55d but much better). Meanwhile, I've lost much of my hair from the ears down. My belly is like a 12 year old boy except with more fat. (and not the cute baby fat).
So the question I have is...what happens when the Lupron stops? My wife says it will be like Flowers for Algernon except with hair .
Read this post yesterday. Been on ADT for about a yr. & 1/2. Have no hair left on my legs and chest and rather sparce down there. Hadn't thought to check my pits. Checked after my am shower and found no hair there either. Still use pit putty as I sweat just thinking about working.😎
I am sorry that I can’t tell you why or what. After starting Lupron I lost almost all of my body hair except for the pubic area and a small spot on the knees. Hair on head has not been affected.
I was once a fuzzy dude. Now I’m just a smooth skinned eunuch !
it's nice to have these lighter posts at times. I personally loving having a full head of hair, no body odor, and less fuzz on my rump/back. I kinda liked having had more chest hair in the past; but, i'm ok with it since I also don't have hair coming out of my ears and nose like I used to. so much less trimming and manscaping!
I noticed that I have now lost all of the hair that had grown back following the ADT. I don't care about the hair loss but I am wondering if it is a sign that my body is somehow generating DHT again despite being on ADT still and still not having any testosterone?
