It's not common, but it happens, especially with pre-exisiting conditions. Less with Firmagon, Orgovyx, or orchiectomy.

Joe,

I can't speak for anyone else, but I've been on Lupson / Eligard since 2017 and have had multiple episodes of A-fib and three cardioversions since. So yeah, I blame it one the ADT.

I did a month shot of firmagon the a three month Eliguard shot then onto Lupron tri-monthly for 18 months. All muscle left. My veins shrank . I just started the Nattokinse and serraptese to hopeful help my blood from coagulating . Which I believe is common for us on extended adt with no t. The MO’s know all of this is true.

Did 18 months of lupron - ended up with 5 stents. 3 on the widowmaker, and two in the legs.

Had some problems before lupron - but it seems the lupron made it worse. My suggestion for anyone on ADT - get a good cardiovascular guy and visit him every 6 months for EKG and stress test, and perhaps a calcium read. Men take calcium as a supplement for bone loss, but it appears that can be contraindicated by cardio concerns.

As far as I know there have been no definitive studies on cardiovascular effects caused by HDT.

Hello, I started with Lupron in March of 2021, not as long as some men, I also had open heart surgery in 2018. I had an aortic valve reconstruction, I have not had any cardiovascular issues so far. I had a routine Echo in June, with a visit with my heart surgeon also. I will see my cardiologist in Dec. Hopefully my heart continues to do me good. I had no blockages at the time of my surgery.

I was under the impression was the drugs like Firmagon are recommended by doctors instead of agonists if patient has preexisting CV issues.

Curious why they started you on lupron instead.

I am sorry, my first injection was firmagon then they switched me to Lupron.

Joe, Exercise often, and eat heart healthy diet .Adt deletes muscle. And What is a heart , if not muscle. ? My veins shrank , muscles are now tiny weak cables. The longer adt is used the more the damage. IMO
