Will people on death row live longer than I will?

Apparently yes. (Excluding Texas.) My original sentence was overturned, but I know that even with re-sentencing I will someday run out of appeals. At some point, the Supreme Court will say "We're to busy. We don't have time to listen to you." Of course, I haven't done a statistical analysis (always a funny word, right up there with Uranus). A person just died of natural causes while awaiting execution. (Eleven years.) How lucky can you get?

Give me one day of freedom to do the things I love to do To love those I love to hug my wife at night to engage with my children

Just one day or 5 years in prison

I choose 1 day of freedom

I’m hoping to die of old age before the cancer can claim me 🤣🤣🤣

I want to be shot to death by a jealous teenaged husband.

You are dead wrong. I have been in prison and now mCRPC. I would take prison over PCa and SOC torture. I am a prisoner in my own home, without the strength get up for more than 10 minutes.

I feel for you. Of course being a prisoner with PCa has got to really suck.

Try Dr. Sen in Delhi, India if you still want more time. If you’re PSMA AVID it may work wonders for you. It can really help if you can afford 25K out of pocket.

I "had" a hole in my pocket most of my life. I just looked and its still there.

j-o-h-n asked that I leave him my suits. If I had any suits they would have holes in the pants pockets. I'll leave him a deck of cards.

It will take him till dawn just to shuffle then fight with himself for cheating

Good thing j-o-h-n has a well insulated and padded house. Although it may be a little damp right now.

Hole in your pocket? Shoot just put it on a credit card- if it doesn’t work, it’s unsecured debt that they write off

Thanks. This post still cracks me up. "except Texas", "original sentence was overturned" etc.

Not only will they live longer, you are on the hook to house and feed those unfortunate souls. But on the bright side, you get to exchange insightful posts with j-o-h-n, Kaliber[ yahayahahayahayha] and ME

It’s the adventure not the years! Time in a cell is no journey. Time isn’t worth much when all you’ve got is time.

I still like this post monte. Hilarious.

I was thinking about my car yesterday and it reminded me of this post.

In 2018 I bought a 2009 car.

I told myself this one has to last a long time. Long, long time.

In late 2019 I got my diagnosis.

Yesterday as I was driving and avoiding pot holes because my car has to last a long, long time it occurred to me my car is going to last longer than me ha!

Light bulb moment.
