My husband is declining rapidly. Mental status changes most apparent, elevated LFTs, enlarged liver, CT confirmed fatty - no Mets yet, yet the MO suggests it’s likely caused by the disease process. I try to keep myself educated so I can be prepared for next step and treatment courses, but this threw me. Seeking understanding about this. He’s been in the hospital for a week treating the wide array of things (med adjustments dues to the liver, TSH elevated possibly due to radiation, low blood counts, and a second broken bone in 2 months that he’s not strong enough to have fixed. It seems we may be nearing the end of this short 3 year journey, I just need some help understanding this new component involving the liver if it is part of the disease process. Thanks.

I just re-read your post from several months ago. Have they talked about hospice? I wish I had more I could tell you. My heart goes out to you and your family. It sounds so miserable for him.
Hope you are getting a few moments in the sunlight. I’ve been practicing 4 x 4 breathing exercises. Breathe in slowly for four counts, hold for four counts, out for 4 counts and rest for four. Makes me cry sometimes on the outbreath. But can just help me keep my feet on the ground. You can do it together too.
