I've taken so much advice from you. So much love. It helps, it truly does. Brian's 2nd oral medication Xtandi stopped working. PSA from the low of .2 to now over 40.
Getting a port in next week to start IV chemotherapy again.
Might be a good thing as this Xtandi was hard in him. Lupron shots now every 6 months but they are hell on earth for him the first few weeks after the shot. Again, advice and experiences from you all helped so much.
Before we went the IV chemo route, when he became resistant, I took your advice and we went to a cancer clinic for a second opinion. U of M is who we chose. They got right in, within a week! Did tests, etc. Found he was in Stage 4 chronic kidney failure which took him out of every possible trial.
They said our Henry Ford oncology doctors are following the right path and that gave us confidence. Which brings calm.
So, I stopped researching and have him on the right diet (and exercise when he can tolerate it) and supplements... thanks to you all... and we will ride this roller coaster as long as we can.
Love to you.
Stay well my friends.
Live, love and drink a to every sunset!

Who did he see at Michigan Medicine? Two Medical Oncologists there are hands down the best Prostate cancer specialists in the state. I know four personally.
Nowadays it's "Bryon"! Everone has to be different. Lol... my daughter did that with the middle names of her 3 kids. But the one that we still spared over "Maree" instead of "Marie". I tell BOTH of them... they are NOT pronounced the same and in my mind NEVER will! Stop trying to be cute with spelling! Lol...
Wonderful picture of your family!!! I too have had Chemo on two different occasions after other SOC not working, good idea on the port! Has your husband had genetic testing of his PC to look for immunotherapy options? Stay strong!!!
Thank you. Taking all this wonderful feedback. I am refocusing. I will find my daily mantra, find my faith again, gain strength to go through this chapter with love and optimism and know that my wonderful husband has been spending the last 3 years getting things around so I will be taken care of. (New roof, furnace, shed, driveway, car for me, financial planning, sold one of his Mustangs, took a large tree down in the back yard... ) I see now. Everything you all said hits home and is so helpful.
Thank you all. Whether it's this year or next, or the next even, I'll try to stop being fearful and focus on good moments now. We still laugh and live life. Thank you for helping me refocus on THAT and not fear the inevitable. It's a waste of life energy and possibly an affront to God's desire for our lives.
Take care all.... I think of and pray for you all also.
