New pill instead of 3 month shots
I just got approved this past friday for a 2 month free trial. Prior to that I was quoted $2,790 per month. My oncologist told me that I'd be able to get About a 6 month Bridge prescription which is more or less A continuation of the free trial. I should be receiving My 1st batch on Monday or Tuesday. Everybody is eligible for the 2 month free trial.
Thanks , but at that price it is cheaper to get the shot with my insurance, only cost a fraction of that as my copay every three months. It is costing me over 800 a month now, add that and I would be able to not afford it monthly. And Medicare has not approved for the medical part and my plan i do not think had approved it yet.
Just started a week ago. Cost to me is $25 per month, insurance covers the rest. I like that it is apparently a little more effective than the shot. I also prefer a daily pill over an injection, even if it costs a bit more. I just put it in my pill tray with the other things. My situation is good. PSA <0.1, T=3. It's clearly evident that low T is controlling my PCa and that is my lifeline. I can worry about longevity instead of tumor growth. Main health concern now is high blood pressure. I've had my Covid19 shots at age 75. That fear is reduced significantly.
How did you get such a low co pay and what company do you use, my plan would still cost me over 600 and they do not have a shipping to your home option. At that price I would also get the pills, I cannot get grants or extra help due to my financial assets.
I am covered by United Health Care at Sutter Health in Califonia, under my spouse's coverage. She retired from U.C. and has chosen that coverage for years. They deliver but I prefer to pick up. Delivery requires someone to be present.
My husband said our MedicarePart D coverage would cost $600 a month so he is staying with the shots. We will check again next fall when it is open enrollment time to see if the cost changed
After three denials I finally got a letter just this past Friday stating that Relugolix would be covered for me until March 2024. Our rationale for requesting approval was based on me having prior heart disease issues and the fact that Relugolix has much less impact on the heart and cardiovascular system. I don't know, yet, what my copay will be nor do I know which pharmacy will be able to supply me but at least insurance coverage is settled. More to come as I learn more. If this does not work out then my fallback is Zolodex.
Six weeks now on Orgovyx...big improvement over Firmagon. Costs were estimated at $2400/month...then insurance said $850...then I got a grant for $3500 for the year and 2 months free from Myovant to start....filed additional paperwork...and now at $0 copay.
