Psa 25. after RP had Axumin PET scan had one small lymph node show up higher in abdomen and prostate bed showed a small amount was hoping for a cure but looks like the hoarse is out of the barn so I started Eligard ADT +Apalutamide (Erleada) there was no bone metastasis on scan was wondering if their was any place that would radiate or could remove that node. If haven’t read my bio I’m at a Gleason 4+3 Grade group 3. I was wondering if I should get second opinion from MD Anderson,Mayo or Sloan... I’m currently at Integris In Okc.

I would try to get a PSMA PET/CT to see where the mets are. Plan your treatment after this PET.

Abdominal lymph nodes are tricky for radiation because radiation can endanger vital organs. Moreover, it is probably not very useful. Once cancer is outside of the pelvic lymphatic drainage area, it is systemic. So zapping a solitary metastasis probably accomplishes little.

Your current therapy sounds like a good one.

You sound very similar to me, except after a PMSA scan they identified 6-7 lesions in the belly, so no radiation would be beneficial. I'm on Lupron and will start on Apalutamide soon. I agree totally with Tall_Allen, and I will be monitoring blood levels and starting on some weight training and diet changes to keep up strength and prevent severe weight gain. Good luck on the journey.
