That's What She Said

On the heels of a rather dramatic post about my struggles with chemo, here's another blog that's much more upbeat. It's the last day of my chemo cycle, I spent some time in Vermont and made a couple videos for the blog too! It's my opinion the first video contains the funniest use of "That's what she said" in my life, but that could just be me. What do you think?

I think Michael Scott would approve. And yup, it IS what she said.

As for the branch, you showed yourself in the act of cutting it, yes... but could you get it up? (That's what she said!)

I think you're making a reference to the US version of The Office, which I've not seen. It felt to me more like a Wayne's World moment.

What a missed opportunity! If the camera stayed rolling, you would have seen me pick up the pieces and casually toss them aside. I may have even knocked a couple pieces together to shake the snow off, ouch!

Firstly, LOL! That was awesome. 2 great videos and 1 sick topless pic. Stay strong this week and we'll look forward to the next great installment.

Was there a TV show you reccommended a year or so ago? We just got Prime Video and are trying to remember past recommendations that we may now be able to watch.

Well of course I am a geezer so asking me to remember is a tall task. #1 for me is Schitt's Creek. May take a few episodes to get to know/appreciate characters but I always laughed out loud. Same with Marvelous Mrs Maisel. If you like a little sci-fi thrill try Homecoming. On Netflix I am now watching Arrested Development. That was from like 2003 but I never saw it. Hilariously stupid. Amazing cast of guest stars. Produced and narrated by Ron Howard. Happy viewing.

I just started Marvelous Mrs Maisel based on a suggestion from two years ago. Hysterically funny so far.

Glad you like it. Also try Frankie and Grace. Another Prime laugh out loud. Schitt's was on Netflix. Keep laughing my friend.

So good to see you doing better and doing what you love! You’ve had such a tough journey; you deserve some rest. Praying for continued success with your new chemo!

I think that was funny. I find myself making lots of self-deprecating remarks, which I think are funny, about "that" side effect of my ADT. My wife still hasn't decided if it's OK to laugh at these.

My wife doesn't always approve of my humor, but she also plays the long suffering straight man so well she frquently fools me.

Thank you for sharing. Made me laugh out loud. 😆

Great blog. Glad to hear of your fruitful commune with nature. I often use self-deprecating humor to assuage my wife’s anxiety about my condition. Love to hear about your level of physical activity. Like yourself, I’ve come to depend on those endogenous endorphins and enkephalins!

Not to mention the endogenous cannabinoids that give the runners high. Gotta be active for about an hour to start producing those IIRC.
