Hello, All. After two years on Zytiga, my PSA is creeping up (but still under 10), doubling about every 4 weeks. At this exponential growth rate it will be about 5000 in a year. However, Doc unconcerned because he says T is low. Is that correct? What would indicate it is time to switch therapies? Rising PSA and T? How can one rise but not the other? Thanks all and Happy New Year.

It's called "castration resistance" when the PSA rises in spite of low T. Time to move onto a different therapy.
Thank you, TA. Frustrated with Doc because this is exactly what I suspected. When I mentioned moving to chemo, he said he likes to “save that for the end.”
Interesting, my doc and I chose chemo from the start, after 6 months of ADT+ treatments. Ask your Doc, how many millions of circulating tumor cells are in your blood...
This does not mean you won't respond well to another ADT drug. It may be time to switch.
