What to do with big prostate?

How big? Do you have prostate cancer as well? I assume you do, since you are posting on a forum for men with advanced prostate cancer. Where has your cancer spread to and what cancer treatments have you used so far?

Just kidding. I suggest you look into Rezum or UroLift. Other techniques, laser and micro surgeries, actually take tissue from the urethra to improve flow. (Just me, but I’m fundamentally opposed to the removal of tissue and body parts).

I’m having the Rezum procedure done next Tuesday. Last CT showed my prostate at 60cc. (Normal is 20-25, walnut size). Having it that size has resulted in constant UTIs and prostatitis. Misery!

Rezum introduces steam/hot water into the two lobes of the prostate, from what I’ve read takes under 15 minutes, in office, then recovery with a catheter for about six days. I suggest you look into both treatments I’ve mentioned, see which one suits you the best. I’m really looking forward to getting this problem resolved!
