AMG 160 trial

I am new in this community and like to share this question with you. I am discussing with my oncologist to participate in the amg160 phase1 trial. Because this phase1 trial is not only done in the Netherlands but also in other countries I am very interested in experiences of other community members. If you have any experience I would appreciate to hear from you.

>>> Update end of September: For first results of the phase1 trial, refer to ESMO Virtual Congress 2020: First Results from a Phase 1 Study of AMG 160.

It is a pity but apparantly there are no participants of this trial in this community.

You’re good!💪

I’m say good for it ! I’ve been on a trial drug that has put me into remission for over four years. They still give me excellent testing. I’m still on this drug. The point of a trial is it could work. And you are helping yourself and others by joining a trial . There is hope in trial drugs for us all . Good luck in the 🇳🇱 Netherlands. Expect good things and they just might happen .. Scott from PrescottAz.🌵

I have been in 4 clinical trials with different benefits and unexpected problems and complications. I wonder if you could explain what is the experimental drug which put your cancer in remission for 4 years.

Best of luck!!

4 trials . Wow! No wonder why you know so much . The name is Tak-700... I’m the only one on HU.. 5 years and counting. Did Lupron with it for 18 months , then an orchiectomy 9-17... The Tak -700 works by stopping the signal from the pituitary to produce t. Thanks tango for all of the great info that you offer us all! 😷🌵

Tak-700 seems to be similar to zytiga. It is surprising that did not show an improvement in OS in the phase III trials. I am glad it works for you and I hope it will keep working for a long time.

Best of luck, my friend!!

According to my information 100 to 140 persons will participate in this amg160 trial, from various countries. So it is really good to meet you in this community.

My husband is entering this trial in May! He’s 44 now and was diagnosed in 2019 with mets to the lungs and skeletal system. Gleason 8, PSA was 80. He had docetaxel initially. Also started ADT right away, Lupron, then Apalutamide + Firmagon, which he’s still on now. He has Zometa infusions every 3 months. PSA is currently 2.1 and rising slightly.
