Thanks for the info! Very helpful! My MO said they have the best price available in the US.

Hope your scans went well today!

Thanks. They did give me a receipt that broke down the various parts of the procedure with billing codes. The doc who interviewed me said little chance of Medicare picking up any but some have been successful with their secondary provider reimbursing for some costs. They were expecting FDA approval in September, coinciding with an inspection of their Gallium 68 production process but due to Covid FDA isn’t doing these inspections.

What was your wait time when you scheduled the scan? What was your psa at the time of the test.

I’m being nosey because I was told to get one at .5 for a base line even if it was to low to find anything. Long drive from Kansas.

Once my new mo had reviewed my file she sent an order to UCLA. The UCLA schedulers contacted me and said it was one to two weeks wait time. My mo instructed me to schedule scan once my PSA (post ADT vacation) reached from 0.5 to 1.0. Doing monthly blood work I contacted UCLA schedulers once my PSA reached 0.5. Scan was scheduled about two weeks later. The UCLA doc who interviewed me today said between PSA 0.5 to 1.0 accuracy is about 65% to 70%.

Thanks 63. I have my prostate with a tumor sticking out of it. Finished whole pelvis radiation along with Lupron and zytiga. Not sure where my psa will go naturally but only had to go to 2.41 to have a tumor clear outside of my prostate.

That's what I paid OOP in March 2019 as part of the UCLA trial. Good thing it hasn't gone up.

I submitted my paperwork in March but was told ahead of time that everything was on hold since they were all closed down to the virus.

My first read of the report they issue is alarming because of all the additional stuff found by the scan. I look forward to the virtual conference with my MO next week to explain it all.

If you don't like the results..... ask for a full refund...... That's what I do with my losing lottery tickets....
