You will learn that you have more mets than you ever wanted to know. Treating these mets is not according to the standard guidelines, so you will have to decide what to do with the result of the PSMA PET/CT.
Thanks GP24. I’ve just been on the telephone 80+ min trying to get my Humana Insurance co to authorize the IU Health Neuroscience Imaging facility that my “PSMA” PET/CT scan is going to be scheduled in. Pain in the but but I’m not giving in one sec sent message to my IU Health Dr/RN with more detail info Req’d on the facility site. More trouble than actually doing the PET scan. I will get er done yet this month. I had 12 blood lab tests July01 so wont have to repeat if PSMA is done b4 01 Aug.
Whenever, I had a problem like this, my medical oncologist wrote a letter. Worked every time.

Gourd_dancer it is and it did work out. Got my authorization approval late yesterday. Yes! Progress! My urology/Oncologist referring Doctor’s very understanding RN received my insurance authorization this AM. Plus I sent scanned .pdf’s of my own Approvals from Humana. What a pain. But still progress. RN Amy responded just 2 hrs ago saying yes my referral/approval for 68Ga-PSMA-11 is sent to Radiology for review/scheduling. Ok.
Amy says she will be in touch very soon. Trust Amy, yeh but I’ll call her Monday after lunch too. She probably realizes I’m a persistent patient patient kind of sort of. Yes, she and Dr Boris know Doug(me) is chomping at-the-bit to get Er done like in 10 days. It’s only a 2 hr drive to Indianapolis. Usually stay overnight and exercise a lot.
