My husband has taken Xtandi & Lypron for 8 mos then last month had his prostate removed (also has mets to the back). Did anyone continue these medications after surgery?

Of course he would continue because he has metastases. The surgery was palliative (preventing prostate problems later), and slowed progression if he only had a few metastases. The Xtandi+Lupron is what is having the greater impact on survival. He will be taking Lupron permanently, Xtandi until it stops working.

You have a choice, Lupron for life or orchiectomy. I've had the double snip and continue on just the xtandi. Three years in.
