Here we go again. Scan time

Friday I go in for CT, bone scan and MRI. This has become a bit routine while on clinical trial. While I'm a bit apprehensive about results i really have one thing pressing on my mind. What will I do for grub? Cant eat before CT, bone scan right after. Hope there is enough time to grab a bite before MRI. Oh sure, scans may come back with negative results but we will deal with them in due time. I just get embarrassed when I'm laying on the table and my stomach is pitching a growling session for all to hear. Sigh....I'll just do what I can.

You can eat before a bone scan. I had this problem too. I ask that my CT scan be scheduled on a different day. It saved wear on me. I didn't feel like I was spending an entire day at the medical center.

So unless you travel a long distance for your scans give yourself a break.

I’m travelling 120 miles for my CT’s and NM bone scans. But be there night before. Been through so so many heart EP lab procedures my stomach is well trained. I’ll eat some NV granola bars or Skinny Popcorn after my CT’s are ✅. Before bone scan. Then they want 1 pint of blood to test.

I feel your pain. The 120 miles must be excruciating. I was traveling to John's Hopkins for a while and that was 102 miles.

Well so far no problem driving.

My trip is from Ft Wayne Indiana to Indianapolis downtown. 110 miles almost non-stop. If the Semi-trucks would just get out if my way.

I’ve been going to IU Simon Cancer Center Indy since Aug 2019.

All my Urologist(s) 3 are at IU Health hospitals. I ditched my FW Urologist and would change my Cardiologist(s)

when they come into Ft Wayne soon.

Downtown Indy isn’t too bad at driving

And some good eats places.

Look, they know that and usually give you 60-90 minutes to eat something. My clinical trial was in 2004 and I have gone through this testing procedures out two dozen times....

Well my scans show progression, which means I most likely will be taken off Talapro2 clinical trial. So now we have to find the next thing. I'll be visiting with my MO tomorrow.
