A friend of mine who also has aPC has been taken off of Xtandi. His wife wishes to do something positive with the remaining pills. She will send them to someone who is having a difficult time paying for Xtandi. I told her I could find some one on Healthunlocked who could use them. She wants to limit shipping location to the US. Hi garyg0616, I too have been taken off Xtandi and have pills I no longer need. However, I've learned it is illegal to gift a prescription drug to someone. What is your take on this?

As long as the person you are gifting them to has a prescription for them , in the USA no laws are broken.
Considering the non abusable Nature of the drug and the diagnosis of the people that need Xtandi... the most that would happen is probably a stern warning, if that. Near zero to worry about.
Of course the only people that should take Xtandi are those for which it is prescribed.. and just taking a month or three of them would be a bad idea because you would almost certainly need many more months more ... to have them be effective. Starting Xtandi then stopping it before it quits working is likely a real bad idea. More could cost you $8000 - $10,000 a month to keep going. So It might do more harm than good. Your oncologist is best to discuss this with before you use them.

I don’t think Cancer aggression is a recusal for not providing life saving drugs between patients! I am interested. How much and how to ship them to Florida?
My husband has just been diagnosed with Stage 4PC. We are haggling with insurance about the coverage. He is 65 yrs old. Oncologist has prescribed Xtandi after Lupron injection. We live in Florida. Its a bleak situation at this point but thank you if you can help.

I hope you got my message , I can not get xtandi. I have been taking it for 20 months. They stoped the extra help program cold ,now I am in a no end battle ,I been out for 12 days ,thanks to another good man or lady I have 20 days left ,so I can use them.

If you are in a calmer situation now can you tell me if extra help program was really stopped?
Did the state you live in stop it?
Did it become stopped at the federal level/Medicare?
Or did the insurance company backing it stop the extra help?
