Lupron odors....

Does Lupron give off a certain odor ? Even after shower, it seems as though I get a certain odor that I can’t explain....it started after I received my 1st shot. Possibly?

Not me. In fact after t diminishes there hasn’t been any need to use deodorant. I can we’re the same t shirt for days here in Florida and the pits don’t smell

I’m on Lupron Xtandi and yes I notice a distinct odor , I thought it might be Xtandi but sounds like it’s the Lupron. No one else smells it externally so I think mine is probably happening internally to my olfactory system ,buds etc.

I’ve pondered if it’s the odor of estrogen due to the absence of T in us now. It’s hard to say, but yes I do detect a quite noticeable change in what seems body ( systemic ? ) odor. Like you said, “ hard to explain “ .

I also can smell and taste the acrid acetone like flavor of my PCa as well, but the Lupron Xtandi odor is more pleasant and nicer seems like. I prefer that one to the nasty cancer smell - taste.

Right, it’s not a nasty odor. I ask my wife she detects the odor but she doesn’t smell it like I do.

You are missing your "manly" smell. If you have a pre-puberty boy around the house, you could sniff him out and understand what I mean.

Agreed. What Suds is likely detecting is the absence, which I presume has some sort of base smell, too. And, boy, are you right GAdrummer.... even after my 16 y.o. boy showers, I can "sniff him out."

When yer checking out , you give off an acrid acetone like odor that others can smell ( October - November 2018 ). In the meantime , ..... you know ... when you go to a big toy store and they have a pile of the soft large plastic balls ... that interesting plasticizer smell .... some car floor mats smell like that too. That’s what I smell and taste 24 / 7 ... mostly not too bad but can become too powerful ... really a drag after a while and you wish it would go away. Like my wife likes to say “ better than the alternative “ yayahahahaya.

I seem to be more sensitive to people's body odor if I go into a big store I'm hypersensitive to people's body odor it's kind of weird

I’m more hypersensitive to just about everything . Especially pain for some odd reason .

I’m like 6357. It’s just the opposite. I can work in the yard, play a round of golf...whatever...in the Florida heat and humidity, and work up a sweat without the stinky smell. I sometimes go 3 days without the need for a shower. I’d also like to add that my 💩 and flatus doesn't stink...but on that point my wife tells me otherwise. In fact, my Sioux name translates to “Breaking Wind.” 😉. I’d lie to think their aroma is somewhat akin to lilacs in the spring. Apparently, (again according to my wife), not so much. 😎 However, like some of you, my own nose 👃 has become hypersensitive to the smells of others, particularly perfume and cologne, their former pleasant aroma has turned into a nasty, overpowering chemical stench.

No similar experience here. My 2 pleasant effects of Lupron are negligible PSA and no body odor (maybe from absence of musk). All other effects are not pleasant. Was on Lupron for 3 years, now off for 6 months and crossing my fingers. No body odor yet and PSA and testosterone still at their lows.

My body odor, or lack of it, was (IMO) caused by Lupron.

I think a few others mentioned that in the past.

Our hormones are messed up, due to treatment, so we are not the same as we were before we started treatment.

I wouldn't bet any money on my response being the same as yours, but my body changed significantly during ADT.

I also soaked the bed with sweat at night, so it was like an over-reaction.

The hot flashes were part of the constant cycling I went thru.

Old man smell is very good. Sniffing out pre-puberty boys could get a person in a lot of trouble around here. Breaking wind and perfume can both make me search for fresh air. I sometimes seem to smell what I would describe as plaster. Maybe this old house is starting to mold. Or maybe it's my old man smell.

Wait until you lose all of your armpit hair . Most of us quit deodorant . No need . Maybe it’s something else? I think adt makes our pee smell funny so why shouldn’t it come through your pores also . Good luck !
