Hi, Is anyone on the clinical trial S1802 where at 22 to 28 weeks after first treatment for metastatic pc, they compare "standard of care" alone with standard of care plus either radiation or radical prostatectomy? Husband's oncologist mentioned this trial for him to consider; many hospitals are enrolling. Husband has bone mets, Gleason 9, on Lupron and just finished 5h round of Docetaxel. Thanks all.

Radiation helped a lot in a large trial in England:
However, I would not take part in the trial but just try to get the radiation done and avoid to end up in the control group of the trial.
How many bone metastases? If there are 3 or less, it may be beneficial:

It will be up to him and his doctor if he wants radiation or surgery. He can't have chemo or metastasis-directed therapy after randomization (although he can have it before).
