Hey Whimpy ... Nah those are all on the east coast except for Kangaroo Island. We had a fire near here in Port Lincoln .. lost a few houses but could have been worse. The fires are mostly starting in National Parks for various reasons, lightning, fire bugs etc. The climate has had an effect on the fires, but was not the cause. The main problem, in my opinion, is years of neglect and not listening to the Indigenous people about how to do hazard reduction burns. Sometime 40,000 years plus of experience beats the crap outa 5 years at university! We will see what happens when this is all over. As for Bundy Rum I have enclosed a photo..... is good stuff ... you can drink it, use it as paint stripper or dip sheep in it to kill lice and blowflies.... hahahaha

An all around useful product then? Cool polar bear on the label. Its decades of neglected management. Let’s face it. Mother Nature is in control ... Thanks for the picture . Interesting 🧐

" ... As for Bundy Rum... " DANG, only 37% alco by volume ain't nuff to gargle with. ;0)

Around here we have "CONTROLLED BURNS" to help reduce fire potential and with a wind shift they become UNCONTROLLED.

Yeah we have those over here too. National Parks & Wildlife Service often becomes the National Sparks & Wildfire Service, and are actually the ONLY Gov department to ever over achieve!!

Bless their little cotton socks!!

There is a growing support to move away from traditional hazard reduction by burning everything to a crisp on hot windy days, to more cold burning on cool days with little wind that only clears out the undergrowth and leaf litter on the forest floor.

Eucalyptus are unfortunately high in oil and on a hot day some of that oil vaporises and escapes into the air. This is why during an intense fire, trees seem to just explode.

Oh, Bundy also comes in a Red Label bottle with 80% alcohol by volume. Now that's got a kick!

Cheers cobber

That Eucalyptus oil is explosive!😳Here in N. Az . They now take more care in everything after losing the 19 granite my. Hot shots. They did some finely timed controlled burns close to us a few months ago. If anything gets close to homes they call in federal teams quickly . Take care thevvy.🦘🐨

Hmm... Maybe you could add this to your "Wall of shame"!

Use it to wash down all the stuff you're taking.

Might help?!?

Best

I always carry a bottle of Bundy rum back to the states after my visits to AUS. Cannot find it here except at the LA Airport Duty Free Shop.

Prayers for all of our friends down under. Rain is needed!
