I have recently been diagnosed with the above after Zoladex since Feb 2018 and Docetaxel May to Sept 2018. Wondering if any others have the same or if anybody has any information/references on this seemingly rare diagnosis? Thanks and all the best for the future. Ross

I'm not sure there's any difference in treatment approach from the more typical small-cell neuroendocrine PCa. My guess is you'll be offered some combination of chemotherapy that includes a platinum chemo such as Cisplatin or Carboplatin. For example: Cisplatin and Etoposide, possibly Docetaxel and Carboplatin. It's probably going to depend on the specific histology. I couldn't find any specifics, just general approaches. It is very rare.
Have you also had molecular testing done for variants? There might be a targeted treatment available.
What is your doctor saying about treatment?
Thanks Gregg
I'm having radiotherapy at present for one tumour but I imagine it will have spread by now as it was not diagnosed very quickly. Meeting doctor on 3rd Jan so will discuss future options then.

I've asked the oncologist of a friend of mine to consider copper/disulfiram. It seems to be very safe as long as he avoids alcohol. The ingredients, copper chloride, copper gluconate, and disulfiram are cheap and readily available. It may synergize well with chemo, so if you try carboplatin, it's something you can do. Also, consider hyperthermia with chemo, if there is a center nearby.
Thanks Tall Allen.
I will check out the references in that article. And the disulfuram/copper protocol. I live in New Zealand which possibly offers less treatment options. May have to consider travelling to Australia or further. Am meeting my oncologist on 3rd Jan so will discuss with him. Am also interested in the prolactin/zinc protocol of Leslie Costello. Thanks again
Nalakrats. Thanks for your reply, especially when you are supposed to be fishing/relaxing!
My original biopsy in Jan 2018 was Gleason 8 (4+4), T3bN2M1.
CT guided biopsy in mid Dec 2019 was LCNEPca which seems to be very aggressive and unresponsive to my existing efforts. I have been incorporating the protocol from Jane McLellands " How to Starve Cancer" progressively since Aug 2019, about when I noticed this tumour. Also taking other supplements and sourcing more as I go.
Started radiotherapy 27th Dec 2019. Will finish mid Jan and then am considering Prof Costellos prolactin/zinc protocol and will discuss disulfuram/copper one with oncologist on 3rd Jan along with any other options
Enjoy your winter break.
