If that is your situation, you now have several good options to choose from:
I took it for 18 months...for me it was a miracle drug, knocked my pc into remission but the side effects were difficult (at least for me). I’ve been off it for 1 month now. Not sure how long the cancer will stay in remission, but I’m grateful that the drug exists.
Good news for you... Keep on Keeping on....

I have been on it for several months with good results combined with monthly Lupron.
Do you have any side effects? My husband could not take zytiga. Horrible side effects. He just came off of it for a week and feels really good. Looking for something else to try. Thanks
Thanks for the help
This drug was approved for treatment of Prostate Cancer in February 2018. Like most drugs for the treatment of prostate Cancer it has many side effects (fatigue, nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, high blood pressure, rash falls, bone fractures and underactive thyroid. rare occasions it can cause seizures).
It has many drug interactions that should be checked before starting it.
Talk to your doctor and pharmacist in detail before starting any new meds.
Ive been on it in titan trial ....
For 3 years...and must say combined with lupron...my psa has just risen to .02...so thats great as pronosis was not...but there are s.e. most notably fatigue...bone joint pain...but thc helps that...if you can get and afford...try it
Been on Apalutamide almost a year. My immune system has crashed, now in "chemo-induced neutropenia." Take 4 pills per day.
Has anyone had the injection to boost the immune system back to normal, or lowered doseage?
I have many other things that need done such as teeth cleaning, colonoscopy, carcinoma Mohs surgeries, pnemonia vaccine, Shingrix vaccine, etc, that are prohibited during this crisis of my immune system to below 1000 absolute neutraphils.
The good news is my PSA went from 23 to 0.2. The Apalutamide is a success but at the life-threatening expense of my immune system.
Currently also on Lupron for @14 years but its resistive now. Have not had PC surgery or radiation due to porphyria restrictions.
