My MO is very interested in this. He is almost convinced that the cure to cancer will be found in DNA changes. There are many questions still, but this is headed om the right direction.
This is the future of precision medicine. Featured on 60 Minutes last spring. A decade or more for us. But I plan to be around to benefit from CRISPR. Thanks for posting this.
It’s certainly one promising approach. And there’s a lot of money and effort behind it, meaning it’s not just an academic curiosity anymore. Just last week, I saw two more articles about it’s relevance to cancer. See one below that describes in details what’s been done so far, and how they’re trying to expand it’s use to solid tumors:
