Are you thinking of using this treatment alternatively(with nothing else) or integratively(With hormone treatment) ?

My husband uses a lot alternative medicine treatments along with traditional treatment. I think there are a lot of alternative medicine treatments you can do without going to Mexico. I know of someone who took their spouse there.. not for prostate cancer... but a different cancer.. they tried just about everything there.. and none of it cured them. They ended up later on getting treated at Mayo. This person was on a plant based diet and ate very carefully. With that said.. I really believe that a healthy diet can help you in the battle with this disease. I juice regularly for my husband and he eats tons of fruits and vegetables. He takes a lot of the supplements recommended here and he does oxygen with ozone saunas often. He also meditates with me at night. He has done his first dose of IV vitamin C recently. However he still gets his traditional treatment.. Neuroendocrine Prostate Cancer can be very aggressive.. so we are trying to hit it from all sides.

If you have the money to give it a try and the time.. why not. It sounds kind of interesting and many folks that go there like it.

It is my impression that anything they do there you will need to keep up when you get home. You cannot expect to go there and be cured.(These are the words of alternative medicine folks.. not me)

I hope this helps. Hugs and prayers for you! I hope you feel better soon.

FORGET ALTERNATIVE TREATMENTS. MOST ARE A COMPLETE FRAUD!!!!

Focus on learning all you can about the current state of your cancer, and chart the best scientifically proven treatments that now exist. You might also look at getting onto some of the many drug trials, as even if they do not help you, your sacrifice paves the way for those who come after.

I also strongly recommend that you prepare. a bucket list of what is important in your life, and live to the max. In other words live with your cancer instead of spending all your time and money on chasing the at present, impossible, i.e. there is NO current cure for advanced prostate cancer.

Oh, yes live as healthy as you can, i.e. no smoking limited drinking etc. in order to give your body the energy it will need as your treatment modalities progress. I do not consider this alternative medicine but simply wise living.

Did you incorporate any dietary changes into your regimen? If you did, they were alternative treatments. I don't think anybody here is suggesting a sweat hut, kinnickinnic, and chants, bro.

If you read some of the comments, you will find that some men are ignoring trad medical treatments and going with alternative, which as one noted, did nothing.

I have a number of problems with strictly going with al:

1. no scientific proof that the majority do anything, certainly, NONE have ever cured any known cancer

2. without scientific methods to determine which ones to use, how much to use, how long to use them for, it proves to be pie in the sky-give us your money and we will keep selling you this mostly useless stuff.

3. IT DETERS far too many into thinking that their cancer will go away by use of alternative means, sadly, far too many die or realize too late that there is no magic pill, no drug of any kind, and certainly no how many, how much and long you take them, will any alternative drugs cure your cancer.

You will in fact, if you overload your body, just add more toxins for it to fight off in addition to those found in our medical treatments-makes no sense to do this, I suggest.

Lastly, I do not consider healthy eating and living to be alternative medicine but just good common sense, as the better physical condition you are in, the better your body will be to fight the endless battles that accompany advanced PC.

We used many « other » treatments in the first 3 years from Cancer Cream - cancer-cell-treatment.com/s..., ozone therapy daily at home, juiced fresh marijuana, CBD, salvesterols, different diets, B17, Vit C daily high dose and IV, Mistletoe IV’s and injections, supplements galore. Johns cancer spread into his bones. I see that happens on the pharmaceuticals, radiation and surgery path too. He had an awesome quality of life those 3 years. And in many ways is still doing great, no not cured. And now we are beginning to work with a super oncologist, Dr Tagawa. Go for the best. The run of the mill just put you through the standard of care mill. Do it all and do it such that you balance supporting you health and killing the cancer.

Find out what really matters most to you.

May your journey open your heart.

I am looking for a new "Super Oncologist" who is not afraid to prescribe "off label" drugs to make my approved treatments more effective. I lost mine when Dr Charles E Myers retired. Any suggestions?

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in the spring of 2018, Gleason 7, PSA 9.7. Have been exploring alternative treatments; 3 weeks at a German clinic last summer, have been getting high dose vitamin c IV's for last 2 months, supplements, diet, etc. Currently I do not have an oncologist, though I would love to find an open minded super oncologist. Do you think I should contact Dr. Tagawa? Contact info?

Based on your experience, my Wife ordered several supplements that I've incorporated into the dietary regimen, e.g. BIRM and others. I have not had fatigue since commencing the BIRM. No "break-in" to speak of, no necessity for a psycho-cybernetic adjustment, just no fatigue. There is a possibility of synergy from the Ashwaganda, et c., but WGAFF? It works. This forum is a blessing from God for Team Rhodes, bro.

I use liquid C, resveratrol, Holy Basil and other fairly well-proven supplements combined with a plant-based regime with one piece of chicken and one piece of salmon per week for B-12. Keeping my radiator topped-until time to dehydrate enough to get sleep in 3-4 hour shifts (body seems to need 9 these days), and exercise as much as I can without affecting the Groshong or surpassing self-employed limits mandated by a non-ischemic brain bomb in '15. Don't think I'd be sittin' near as purty at present without combining conventional & holistic weapons.

Do your own research on supplements and use those that you're comfortable with.

My nutritionist said eat anything you can to keep up my weigh, the monster will make its own sugar from whatever I eat . So. Ice cream and pie for me every evening. Ps. Doctor told me a story about a patient that was doing well ,then started down hill rapidly. Finally figured out he was using high doses of vitamin C and it was interfering with the cancer drugs. Beware what you decide to try. It may kill faster.

I have been trying to poison those cancer cells with alcohol. I hope they had a hangover yesterday. I quit smoking 6 months ago, and they are still screaming for nicotine.

RGGC labs USA tests for circulating cancer cells. They now have a program called SOT where they create things that fight cancer from your own blood and then every three months you can get an injection of what they created. You are allowed only three injections per year. There is scientific data that this works to slow down the cancer progression. The problem is to find a Doctor who is affiliated with RGCC and qualified to do the SOT. I have my first injection in 3 weeks.

Sometimes I glanced thru a bunch of responses before I comment on a new post, but in this case, I'll just jump in.

I believe that a multi-discipline approach to 'fighting back' might be the best way to cope.

Assuming that you read and research and follow the options that are available during the course of this disease, you'll discover that there are many ways people are taking action.

Consulting a qualified naturopathic doctor is one more weapon in the arsenal. Although there is a risk of spending too much $$$$ chasing windmills, there are some off label and other well detailed / documented cancer fighting agents out there.

There is also the medical cannabis option - although there are some claims that it has cured a few cases, there is some evidence that some people are getting some positive results from that type of complementary treatment. I've been following this topic for months (medi-can) and conclude that something is happening, but it is too early to be definitive about dosing and final outcomes.

THCa is being studied more recently and holds some promise about what it might be capable of doing. THCa is what the RAW plant has to offer. I predict Big Pharma will develop something in the not too distant future - once they figure out the money and legal side of the equation. That is just scratching the surface. Have you noticed how much money is being invested in the 'pot' industry ? |It's not all about getting high. It is about the medicinal properties that need to be delivered to sick people of all types. There are many conditions that have tangible, associated benefits.

The thing about medical cannabis (and its chemical derivatives) is its ability to deal with inflammation. There's more, but that is a good place to start.

Our bodies (in fact every living creature, with few exceptions), have a built in system called the endo-cannabanoid system. (google it). We have built in receptors for them. In fact our bodies manufacture some of its own 'pot' internally. It is nature's own natural medical system. Fish, dogs, frogs and people ALL have one. I'm NOT making this up. We evolved this way, along with the fish and birds and monkeys. Mother Nature gave us this medicine - along with all types of other medicines that comes from nature.. Aspirin = tree bark ....

In closing, I cannot imagine letting Big Pharma call all the shots. They try to maintain their monopoly on the approach - and I'd say with mixed and controversial results.

I'm doing at least 5 things that did not originate from the oncology lens.

Think and look outside the box. Hopefully, you'll find a 'combo' that bears fruit for your individual circumstances. At the very least, you might be able to make the quality of life aspect of the disease more positive. Hope eternal, perhaps ?

You might not have that many kicks at the can to try to manage this disease.

Ditto about the pelvic nodes. I had radiation treatment about a year ago to the pelvic area.

I was node positive.

Today, my PSA = undetectable.

Looks like it is working, at least 4 now.

All the comments regarding adding supplements to standard treatment worry me greatly.

Every drug we take has rigorous testing over many years, to ensure any interactions with other drugs are noted, and in documentation there are strict guidelines about what drugs you can mix. One I’m aware of in the U.K. is Candestartin, the blood pressure medication. We have an over the counter drug/decongestant called Sudafed. Mixing the two can cause serious problems.

Now, supplements do not go through any such rigorous testing, so who can say in all honesty they know what is happening when combining medications. As a doctor recently advised a patient taking St Johns Wort for anxiety, which screwed up her Warfarin for blood clots.

“There are many plants which will kill you, including mushrooms and toadstools, so not everything natural is good for you. In fact, I have a plant in my garden that if you lie underneath it for 10 minutes, will most certainly prove fatal.” As the patient left, his nurse asked “what plant is that?”. “A Water Lilly” he replied.😂

I took a boat load of supplements before going into a clinical trial. I'm 8 years out on lupron and xtandi. Did I waste my money...I donno... I've seen others go on to the happy hunting ground on the same allopathic treatments. Did it help I dunno. PSA is .02 Mets to bone are gone or asleep at the switch. It's a beeeootch!
