Good news: As a result of diagnosis of osteonecrosis of the jaw my dentist, endodontist, oral surgeon and medical oncologist agree that any treatment of my dental issues should be conservative and minimally invasive as possible. Two weeks ago my endodontist did a root canal by drilling through an existing crown and plugging the hole after treatment without replacing the existing crown and put me on a two week course of antibiotics. Saw my oral surgeon yesterday for follow up he says it appears the root canal was a success and he will see me in 90 days to follow up on the spot of necrosis. I am to continue brushing and swishing with chlorhexadine mouth wash twice a day.
Bad news: My primary care physician says a new pain I have developed on my lower left side appears to be a large gas bubble in my intestines that is protruding through my ribs and may be a possible abdominal hernia. We’ re trying a couple fleets enigmas to see if the gas will escape and he intestines will return to my abdomen.
