Are they talking about Vit E supplements with high doses of Vit E ? How about people like me who eat some onion and Garlic for their Anti Lipid and Anti Inflammatory effect ?
Those who have been doing their homework are aware that artificial Vitamin E promotes cancer growth. It looks a lot like the `real thing' to the body, but does damage as this study shows. Alas, a whole range of supplements (and breakfast cereals) contain artificial Vit E, so otherwise good concoctions need to be taken off the shopping list. The real thing (in fact a group of similar molecules which have eluded manufacturers) does not seem to do any damage and seems to be beneficial. Natural sources are in the kernels of seeds, nuts, avocados, spinach, chard, leaves. etc.
