It is very tempting to latch onto some "cancer cure" or other (the internet is full of them) and hope it is the magic bullet. There are thousands of plants that have medicinal properties, and hundreds that have been shown (in trials too) to have some anti-cancer effects. They do not kill the cancer - they boost your immune system to kill more cancer. On the top of the list of things that help are medicinal mushrooms and turmeric roots (preferably raw). Some "cheat" to get results for their brand of snake oil by quoting petri dish studies. Orange juice is deadly to cancer in a dish!

The problem is by being diverted to relying on the "magic bullets", one can lose sight of the basics - a balanced diet (the more raw and organic the better) is the foundation of the immune system and gut health. If you are eating junk food the magic bullets will not help. Nothing will.

We are here to educate ourselves away from wishful thinking and snake oil promises. But still we need to inform ourselves about metabolic and diet therapies in combination with Scorched earth therapies. As my RO says at least with Scorched earth therapy we save lives???

It is important to get a grip of Off label drugs and diet supplements based on verified approach. Any how Diet and clean air is basis of our existence.

Why doctors never promote diet awareness.....we are what we eat and think.

More over there are some common aspects of cancer and then special aspects of each type of cancer.

As cancer is basically genetic....so real therapy will be thru targeted genetic pathway blockers....Not to confuse with Immunotherapy...not very promising

Doctors are short of knowledge when it comes to diet. I suggest avoid the ones that say "Eat what you like". I disagree with your last paragraph that cancer is genetic in origins. Only about 5% of cancer can be blamed on genetics. The vast majority of people who "get" cancer have a failed immune system, and most of those can blame a poor diet. Westerners and their junk food diets heavily polluted with weedkiller and pesticides are heading towards 50% of them getting cancer before long. They are already dying younger.

All cancer is genetic in origin. The DNA in your genes becomes damaged through numerous methods. BRCA1 and 2 are particular strong genes which when damaged result in cancer. How can you say cancer is not genetic? The HPV virus damages the DNA of cervical cells causing cancer. Barratt’s Oesophagus is damaged cells which in turn become cancerous. Asbestos damages lung DNA causing cancer, the list is endless.

Nit picking again. If potential cancer victims are told to blame the genes inherited from their parents, they will continue to pig out on bad food and "get" cancer. It is also important for victims to realise once they are fighting cancer, they should stop doing what caused it (if humanly possible) or they will not win the battle. Most of those who do have inherited problems can alter the odds by eating and living right. It is true a growing list of cancers are found to be triggered by DNA damage from virus infections, most of which have no "cure" as yet. Again, a good immune system from a proper diet (and cooking suspect foods like beef with bovine leukemia virus) is our only defense against virus attacks.

When I said genetic I did not mean hereditary...

I mean mutation of genes...either Onco genes or suppressor genes...due to unhealthy living, smoking , toxins and immune system weakness...all leads to gene modification...so cells keep multiplying as stop switches are off...

It is all a cell multiplication...means genes are mutated

There is a problem on this forum - we need to frame our "advice" in general terms that can be understood by the ill-informed. That then leads to the "experts" wanting to be super-precise in descriptions which are generally meaningless to those seeking practical help to make (for them) quick life and death decisions. I think most people looking for help here are quite confused enough dealing with the broad issues, so we should not try to make their task more difficult by talking like research scientists and introducing complex matters, often quite trivial. This is not a place to get people chasing "red herrings" and false hopes and lose eight of the main goal. KISS!

Hey, Yes Artemesia Annua is a powerful ingredient particularly Artemesisin. This herb has been revered since ancient times being used in Traditional Chinese medicine. That is until a chinese scientist (whom won a nobel prize in 2015) discovered that a powerful sesquiterpene lactone compound- Artemeisin displayed anti-malarial action and it turns out it is a anti-cancer properties as well with an infinity for prostate tissue. The research on it looks very solid it not only shows anti-tumorigenic properties in stopping cancer cell cycle but also shows that it disrupts androgen responsiveness. I would recommened adding this simple ingredient to your already hopefully phytonutrient rich diet.

wormwood is an ancient remedy for many things. Hippocrates used it. No one can answer your question scientifically since it has not been studied in a rigorous way. Yes, it kills cancer cells in a testtube. So do bleach and lysol, peroxide and pepper. What it means in a human body cannot be told.

It can be hard to quantify effectiveness of this one supplement since we usually are taking several at the same time. Artemesisin is one of the things that Glen Sabin (glennsabin.com/) took to beat his CLL cancer. He doesn't give specifics in his book, but Harvard Med published a peer reviewed paper on his case and they detailed what supplements he took in addition to lifestyle changes, diet and other things. He never did any SOC treatments and is still alive and NED 26 years after DX. He was given 3-6 months when diagnosed. Many people reject immature evidence of effectiveness because the FDA hasn't approved it, but some of us know that there can be success in this fight without bureaucratic approval.

An extract from my 2nd Edition book: an ABC of Prostate Cancer Today. "Another variant of IVC sees a drug, normally used to fight serious bouts of malaria, called artesunate, infused immediately prior to an IVC session. It is known that cancer cells absorb iron at high levels and this is thought to accelerate the mutation rate within these cells. Artesunate reacts with the high iron content in the cancer cells to kill the cancer cells. Research suggests that a better anti-cancer result is obtained when the high dose intravenous vitamin C follows intravenous artesunate. Artesunate is synthesised from the common garden plant artemesia, or wormwood. Artemisinin is another derivative and has been used for thousands of years to treat various cancers.
