On Aug 2/19 I was prescribed Xtandi, due to third rise in PSA from 12-18-22.8 . Aug 20/19 next PSA went down to 18. Exactly as the Xtandi claims. I have no side effects from this potent drug. My question is this .. when reading the my PSA & blood work I noticed a new addition to the test . It was the Prostate Specific Antigen Free. The result was 1.65 and under that it said .09. Not too sure why this is showing up now . Also another new blood test .. Eosinophils, was flagged high at 0.7. I am scheduled for a Bone Density & a CT scan this upcoming week . My Oncologist said the scans were necessary to compare to the first set that were done last April which showed Stage 4 as cancer had spread to spine & lung ( see profile) thoughts ? Suggestions? These two new tests after 2 years of regular monthly PSA is causing me concern . Possibly I am paranoid . Has anyone else had this experience.

I don't know of any use for free PSA or % free PSA in your situation - they are useful in initial diagnosis only. I think someone just checked too many boxes on the lab form. Eosinophils is a marker for allergies or inflammation. I'm not sure why you are getting a bone scan/CT while Xtandi is working.
