Follow Dr. Dan Spratt (DrSpratticus) on Twitter for good info (such as below) on PCa. Great guy. Great ally in the fight vs PCa

Spratt tweeted out this link a few days ago which maybe of interest to those taking abiraterone with prednisone or dexamethasone.

He also participated in this recent study on the use of SBRT. redjournal.org/article/S036...

Fritz, this is pretty technical. What do you consider the top/most relevant takeaways from the findings?

George, I’m the wrong guy to speak with any authority on interpreting the abiraterone related study (which I assume is the post that you are asking me about), or any medical related study for that matter! And yes, there is alot in that study. A number of much smarter guys than me here will eventually get to it and explain/debate its significance. FWIW, it looks to me like pred 5mg twice daily and dex .5mg daily are the safest treatment regimens from a low potassium and hypertension related side effect standpoint. Further, I thought I read that the Dex option seemed to have beneficial anti-tumor effects over the pred options, but appeared to carry more risk of adverse “metabolic consequences”. If you go to Spratt’s Twitter feed and find his recent tweet referring to this study, you’ll see a few replies that might be if some benefit to you.
