Thousands of cancer diagnoses tied to a poor diet, study finds
So, poor diet might have been responsible for "5.2% of all invasive cancer cases"? Doesn't seem to be a major risk factor.
Interesting that the study began with a preconceived notion of what a good diet is. They could have approached it from a different angle of dietary patterns distinguishing those without cancer from those with cancer.

My take home from the study is: (1) poor diet is responsible for "5.2% of all invasive cancer cases" -- therefore (2) diet and food source supplements are beneficial and cancer preventive and (3) their description of poor diet was low in vegetables, fruits, whole grains -- so it wasn't like a "good diet" was massive amounts of vegetables, fruits, and whole grains or even especially high in vegetables, fruits, whole grains -- yet that small difference in diet resulted in 5.2% less invasive cancer (4) so how much better would a good diet (high in vegetables, fruit, nuts and whole grains -- and low in heavily processed foods and meats) be, coupled with plant based supplements that boost the intake of the active elements found in 5 or 6 servings each of vegetables, fruit, whole grains and nuts. (5) eight bowls of broccoli per day or one bowl and 2 supplements -- 6 oranges or one orange and 2000 u vitamin C. (6) If diet prevents the growth and development of cancer then supplements do too. (7) Diet high in vegetables fruits nuts and whole grains plus supplements are likely to lower the development and slow the growth of invasive cancers even more.
plus we are now living in a sea of chemicals, even seafood contains plastic, the air we breathe, the water we drink, all are contaminated to some degree.
That's why when I eat.... I chew my food but don't swallow it....
