Don’t fret as much like the side effects of generic Zytiga, wait 10 minutes and it’ll change.
Now on 3rd month on Abiraterone Acetate and each week brings a new challenge from joint pain, bouts of sadness that go as quickly as they come on, weight fluctuations and a return to almost normal blood pressure to name a few.
Just wondering if any of my PC brothers are on this latest roller coaster ride?
But on a more positive note won’t have any issues with unsightly back hair at the pool this summer!

We’ve got to look at the brighter side of life ...look at Monte pythons life of Brian video . By the same name .... “ the guys are hanging on the cross singing this tune. “ we’ve got to look on the brother side of life”
Hahaha , how can we complain? Our friend posted this a week or so ago . Now I catch myself humming this dirty on occasion ., Thanks brother . Keep going , made my day . I’m playing this for my wife , she thinks and knows that I’m nuts but with a smile on my face at least now. Take it easy and keep the song in mind . Hahaha 🥳🎉
I'm your neighbor in WV and have a lot of the same side effects on Zytiga--hot flashes, weight fluctuations, occasional joint pain....sleep was a problem initially and melatonin got me through that one....7 months on the hell ship SS APC.... Best of luck, matey...
Was about 110 degrees at Masada tour today.....dry heat but still....rode the cable car up and down....in Jerusalem...will be going to Wailing Wall and Church of the Holy Sepulchre on Saturday and Sunday I believe...it will be in the high 90's tomorrow...trip of a lifetime...
I'm on the 3rd month triple-play: Z/P + C + L. First month was the worst, getting used to the "new normal" of muscle fatigue, and a couple of nights of hot sweats where the bed was soaked. But it's gotten better, probably due to getting used to it, exercising like a fiend, and eating well, overall not as bad as I feared. Have noticed a little swelling on my cheekbone below the eye. Genitalia has probably shrunk 1cm.
I'm on my fourteenth month of Zytiga and have experienced every side effect listed, learned to live with them and just keep on keeping on. There are days I really have to push myself and there are days that I just go take a nap. I figured this is the life I have to live now and just do my best everyday, going fishing right now!
I've been on Abiraterone Acetate for nearly two years. No side effects. Also, i have been on Lupron (on and off) for nearly 19 years. Hot flashes from time to time but nothing debilitating. Had an rrp in late 2000. I will be 83 in July, Good Lord willing.
8 months on the triple cocktail - L, Z and P. The first few months were full of hot flashes and sudden sadness w tears. The flashes have gotten much less intense and the sadness is much better. A little radiation on a couple Mets but all in all, things are good. Hang in there, stay active, read this blog and stay positive!
