Thank you for the article. It looks interesting and worth a try. My only confusion is that once I researched a little bit more it said that it increases the free testosterone. How would this impact ADT and the PC itself? Thank you.

Very little for someone like me who had an orchiectomy. Even before T was 7 and DHT was undetectable. Good luck.

But you are still a human being & need your trace elements. I recommend the same, the Pink Salt replace the table salt and talk to your doctor about the Boron. It is such a important/diverse element that you will definitely need some, but will also need all the others.

Boron is an essential trace element normally found in properly nourish fresh fruits and veggies from plants grown in boron rich soil (or normal soil). Yet, it is only one of many that we need for proper functions (we don't know all of them yet). So, you may need to supplement all of your trace elements to get balanced functions and not rely too much on just supplementing one. I recommend you check out natural rock salt, like Himalayan Pink Salt to replace any table salt. You can ask your doctor these types of questions, for they are more aware of your condition(s) and your medications. Good question & Thx.

Interesting. I started taking boron 3 mg daily several months ago for my Dupuytren's Contracture. Maybe it will be provide a double benefit. The 3 mg was based on some recommendation. Who knows?

Homer,

Are you also using iodine for Dupuytren's? See:

Not at the moment. I have used iodine (mixed with several ingredients) in the past, but did not see noticeable results. Over the last year, I have been using DMSO and Magnesium spray. I added boron recently and think it might be helpful. Any other suggestions?

My own contracture was entirely due to an iodine deficiency. It developed very quickly after my salvage radiation, but reversed at the same rate when iodine sufficiency was restored. So I never went looking for another smoking gun.

This is a good one (link) for those seeking to balance trace minerals or supplement to treat conditions caused by deficiencies. Thx

Patrick, I'm wondering how you administer iodine / iodide. In your iodine post you mentioned your "arm painting" experiment. Were you using lugol's solution (2%?)? How are you supplementing now? Dosages?

I wasn't painting with lugol's. When I found an integrative medicine doc, he advised switching to Iodoral, which is solid lugol's. I take one a day. I have done for 12-13 years.
