Question for Darryl - how persistent are posts?

I frequently bookmark posts in the HealthUnlocked forum. However I always wonder about the persistence of posts - are they likely to be around in 5 or 10 years and accessible via the original bookmark URLs?

Darryl is the final authority, but as far as I can tell posts stay up unless they are removed for some cause.

Here's an example of one from 3 years ago:

I don't find any posts older than 3 years but that may be the age of this forum, or an artifact of how I am searching.

Hi. Our community is only three years old, and most of our activity occurred during the last two years. Posts and replies can be deleted by the authors.

True Darryl. Question. My understanding is that when a search engine picks up any post, it is forever available somewhere outside of the group. Is this correct?

Not correct. You decide whether the full body of a post is available outside of our platform, including to search engines. That’s one of the reasons I think our platform is brilliant. Read this article: support.healthunlocked.com/...
