Hi All. I recall reading a post earlier this year from someone who had received (failed) salvage radiation and, like me, had been told surgery to remove a metastasis in the radiated area was not recommended. However, this individual found a Dr. at the Mayo Clinic (not sure which location) who successfully performed surgery on him removing his metastasis. Does anyone recall this post? I now find myself in a similar situation and would like to get more information. Thanks in advance for any help you can supply.

That maybe was me. Please call or contact me direct. That surgery was January 2014 by Dr. Karen’s, Rochester Mayo Clinic.
I had salvage cryotherapy a couple of months ago for failed radiation treatment. To me it seemed like a safer procedure than salvage surgery. I am not incontinent but somewhat leaky at times. I get PSA test in a couple of weeks to see if it was successful. If it was then it was a small price to pay but am skeptical that it eliminated all the cancer in my body
